Rev. Bob Clardy
Associate Pastor - Pastoral Care/Missions
Bob was born in Belton, SC. He and his wife Brenda have two daughters (Kelly & Kristy) and two grand-daughters (Savannah & Abby). After retiring from a career with Michelin, Bob answered God’s call to come on staff at Whitefield to lead our Pastoral Care ministries. On the weekends, Bob & Brenda enjoy spending time with their family. Bob’s very first job was working as an electrician for Modular Homes of Pelzer, but he has secretly harbored a lifelong dream of becoming a NASCAR driver.
Bob has been at Whitefield his whole life. Bob received a calling to the ministry from God at the age of 10 during a revival meeting led by Rev. John Turner. He felt that he was fulfilling that call to serve over the years by being actively involved with the children, youth and adults through Sunday School and other activities. Bob was ordained as a deacon in 1976 by Pastor Danny Gray. He served under many great Pastors during his time at Whitefield. During the later years of Bob's service in the corporate world, he knew that God had greater plans for him, and he began to pray and talk with others about what God would have him to do. In March of 2012 Pastor Danny Singleton recognized the call on Bob's life and led the church to license Bob into the ministry. After serving as Pastoral Care minister for a little over 2 years, Pastor Frank Fuller felt led to ask the church to ordain Bob as a Minister to be set apart for the ministry and service of sharing the Gospel of Christ. Former Pastors Danny Gray, Ron Fousek and Rev. Mike Morris headed up the ordination council that questioned Bob and then led in the ordination service for Bob on the 16th of February, 2014.
Bob graduated from Palmetto High School in 1971 and completed a program at Greenville Technical College with a certificate in Industrial Electronics. Bob received training and experience at Michelin where he worked in areas of maintenance, management, finance, human resources and recruiting over his 36 years of employment. Bob attended Limestone College through an after-work program to further his education and earned an Associates of Arts Degree in Computer Science Programing in the fall of 1999 and a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Management in the spring of 2000.
Andrea and her husband John have four kids (Chad, John, Katelyn, & Crystal). She was born in Anderson, SC. The first job she ever had was working at McDonald’s. Most people wouldn’t know it, but Andrea is also a professional hairdresser! On the weekends, she and her loved ones enjoy spending time together for family game night.
